How do you solve Absolute value equations and Inequalities?

What are the steps for solving compound inequalities?
To solve an AND compound inequality:
Rule #1- Whatever you do to one section you must do to the other 2.
Rule #2- Remember all the rules for solving equations.
Rule #3- If you multiply/divide by a negative number you must change the direction of the inequality sign.

To solve an OR compound inequality:
Rule #1- Work each side seperately.
Rule #2- Remember all of the rules for solving equations.
Rule #3-I missed this part... sorry.

What are the steps for solving absolute value equations?
First, you must consider two answers: x=# or x=-# and rewrite the equation with a negative answer and a positive answer. Both without the absolute value markers. But remember an absolute value result is always positive.
Step #1- Rewrite problems as the compound or statement.
Step #2- Solve each new equation seperately.
Step #3- Write out your answer.

Hope this helps anyone who wishes to use it.

To solve a and compound inequality-
rule 1- whatever you do to one section you must do to the other 2
rule 2- remember all the rules for solving equations
rule 3- if u multiply/divide by a negative number you must change the direction of the inequality sign

to solve a or compound inequality-
rule 1- work each side seperately
rule 2- remember all of the rules for solving equations
rule 3- if u multiply/divide by a negative number you must change the direction of the inequality symbol

these are the steps for solving absolute value equations-
first u must consider 2 answers- x=# or x=-# and rewrite the equation with a negative answer and a positive answer. both without the absolute value markers. but remember a absolute value result is always positive.
step 1- rewrite problems as the compound or statement
step 2- solve each new equation seperately
step 3- write it out

hope it helps =^-^=

You solve compund inequalities, by doing what you do to one side you must do to the other. It also depends if it's an and or or. For absolute value equations you must rewrite as a positive and a negative problem, therefore you will be solving as two problems. *Anjellica S.*

Im not the best person to ask but my tip to you is to just take good notes, follow the rules, and study.

aagain my name is porsche . to solve Inequalities you must:
1. remember all the rules
2.cancel outand make each side even so you can solve
3. then you must never forget your integers
4.last but not least you must always pay attention in class so you can learn it is that good mrs. mcguire

Solving AND Inequalities is almost like solving equations. Wat u do to one side you must do to the other one and If u multiply/divide by negative you must change the direction of the sign.

Solving OR compound Inequalities is also like solving equations. You got to work each side separately and If u multiply/divide by negative you must change the direction of the sign.

To solve Absolute value equations you must rewrite it in two different ways with a negative and a positive answers and then solve both of them like solving equations.

To solve compound inequalities, first you must know that there are 2 different kinds; ANDs and ORs.

To solve AND inequalities:

1. Whatever you do to one section, you basically have to do to the other two.

2. Remember all of the rules for solving equations.

3. If you multiply/divide by a negative number you must change the direction of the inequality symbol.

To solve OR inequalities:

1. Work each piece separately.

2. Remember all of the rules for solving equations.

3. If you multiply/divide by a negative number, you must change the direction of the inequality symbol.

For solving absolute value equations:

1. Rewrite problems as the compound or statement.

2. Solve each new equation seperately.

3. Write out your answer.

Do what you need to do to both sides of the equation. Then you slove for X. Then you graph. There ya go!!

Hello my name is Diallo and im here to teach you how to solve compound inequalities and absolute Values. You solve compound inequalities:step1 what you do to one side you must do to the other. It also depends if it's an and or an or equation. For absolute value equations you must rewrite as a positive and a negative problem, so that means you will be solving as two seperate problems.

What Are The Steps For Solving A Compound Inequality:

STEP 1- Whatever You Do To One Section You Must Do To The Other Two.
STEP 2- Remember All The Rules For Solving Equations.

What Are The Steps For Solving Absolute Value Equations?
STEP 1:Rewrite Problem As The Compound "OR" Statement.
STEP 2:Solve Each New Equation Separately.
STEP 3:Write The Answer.
*ALSO You Must Consider Two Answers:
x=c OR x=-c

Hi this is Kidist, i think to solve a compound inequality you have to eliminate and solve the equation: And for absolute values you must turn all negative to posatives once they get out of the parenthesis.

to solve an and eq.you must do the same thing to one side. You must take everything at a time. You work each side. Then you multiply or dividem, and that will give you the answer.
