Solving equations is kind of hard and sometimes easy. For me i really mess up when u is suppose to subtract a number from each side i get those mixed up. but other than that i can solve equations half of the time.. but the ones i hate the most is the fraction equations i really dislike fraction equations.bUT Ms. Zomer showed me another way to solve it so thank you ms.Zomer for showing me a easy way to slove quations and fraction equations..

to solve a equation such as -8=y+12. 1st you subtract 12 from both sides.Then the problem should look like -20=y. this is robert w.

I think in order to solve equations you have to use the format:

Please (Parenthesis)
Execuse
My (Multiplication)
Dear (Division)
Aunt (Adding)
Sally (Subtraction)

2x+4=6x+3

1st u wud add lyk terms n sub or add both sides n den div.

4=8x+3 add lyk terms

1=8x turn +3 n2 a negative n sub it by both sides

x=8 den div

When I'm Solving An Equation I Always Start Out By Making Sure I Follow The Order Of Equations (PEMDAS).Then I Always Remeber That I Have To Get The Variable By Itself.I Also Try To Remember To Get My Negatives & Positive Right!!!So With These Things In Mind I Solve My Equations With No Problem!!!

-19=3x+8 problem
-8=3x-8 get varible alone
-27=3x solve but have varible alone
\3=3x cancel the 3's out
-9=x solve and you get varible alone

How to solve quations is first you look at all the information that's given to you.. then if u have trouble on how to solve them you cab always look at your previous notes to help. that's what i do all the time. you have to write you equation. example:
-18=y+6
you subtract 6 from both sides
you cross out 6 subtract 6 because it won't fit so you have to subtract negative 18 from 6 and you get 24 and y=24..

To solve an equation such as -7=x+15. 1st you subtract 15 from both sides.Then the problem should look like -25=x.

solving equations is easy right now, but it gets harder as you get more information. When the equations get longer, they start to get harder. I can solve equations but i just will have to try harder when they get harder.

How you doing Mrs.McGuire n Mrs.Zoomer this me Diallo and im here to explain how to solve equations. Basically you get all the same signs on the same side u either multiply subtract add or divide. You either end up with a positive or negative answer

x+2=5 in this equation the first thing you would have to do is subract the two from both sides( you subtract because the opposite of adding is subtracting and since the two is being added you subtract) once you have subtracted 2 from both sides you will end up with this: x=3 and that is your answer. jonathan

hi my name is porsche. solving equations isn't hard you just have to have the right kind of teacher and correct knowledge about it.

Solving equations is very tricky. It can be easy and also hard, which is why, you have to pay attention and tak good notes. Anjellica

my name is james ruff, im here to teach u about solving equations. Basically u get all the same signs on da same side after u do that u add thm subtract them and hen u end up wit a positive or negative answer

4=8x+3 add lyk terms

x=8 den div

This is an example of incorrect method of solving equations.
The correct way to solve this equation is as follows:
subtract 2x from both sides to get:
4 = 4x + 3
Then subtract 3 from both sides to get:
1 = 4x
Then divide both sides by 4 and the answer is:
x = 1/4

Macy you are almost correct your answer would be a -24.
-18 - 6 = -24

Terry and Nick:
You are almost correct. Your problem: -7=x+15
You were correct that you subtract 15 from both sides, however,
-7 - 15 does not equal -25.
-7 - 15 = -22

Simple things seem to be difficult like solving equations but if you follow (PEMDAS)then you should be able to dolve your equations remeber signs and left to right and you should be doing fine.

Solving equations is not hard. All you need to know is how to add, subtract, multiply and divide. In order to solve them you must use the order of operations.

8 + x = 12
-8 -8
x = 4

I'd say that the best way to solve equations would be to just remember:
P-parenthesis
E-exponents
M-multiplication
D-division
A-addition
S-subtraction
Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally. This really helped me on our test today... and hopefully it'll help you too. Example!:
2x+(7-3)=10
2x+4=10 Start with par.
-4 -4
2x=10 sub. 4 from each side
2 2
x=6 divide by 2
And your done!

hay my is Stephen H equations are hard to solve but i use Please Execuse My Dear Aunt Sally the bell just ring so bye!

You can use alot of different methods. The first is PEMDAS. This is where you would follow the steps such as addition didvition and subtraction (in oreder of course) The there is also combining like terms. This is where you have a problem that has variables and you combine the like terms.

so yeah

Mrs.McGuire I Just Wanted To Let You Know That I Did Do This Blog But I Didn't Put My Name On It.I Did It On August 23, 2007 @ 9:07 AM. And If I Make That Mistake Again Just Remember That I'm Like The Only One That Types In All Caps...Well At The Beginning Of Every Word,LOL!!!!

to solve an equation like this,-5=y+15. Just subtract 15 from both of the sides and the problem should look like this -20=y.

You need this:
Please (Parenthesis)
Execuse
My (Multiplication)
Dear (Division)
Aunt (Adding)
Sally (Subtraction)

to do or to solve for equations
